About the Symposium
The fourth
Symposium til 2011 represents a continuation of academic
research by the Department of Transport Engineering and
Logistics of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University
of Niš, with the following aims: Analysis
and development of scientific basis in transportation and
logistics, Analysis of transport and
logistic functions and flows, Development
of transport and logistic systems and technologies,
Development and maintenance of transport equipment,
Application of information technology, Presentation of transport
engineering and logistics projects, Connecting science and
practice.
The initiator of the scientific meeting “Transport and
Logistics” is the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University
of Niš. At the beginning of these studies, material and
scientific support was given by European Union through TEMPUS
programme CD JEP 17019-02 entitled: Introduction and development
of a new study profile – Transport flows and logistics from
2004-2006.
